    To whom it may concern,

As a Marine Corp veteran, I wish to continue serving with and for my fellow brothers and sisters. It is far too often that veterans are overlooked and go unappreciated for their time spent serving our country and serving others, all for a greater cause other than self. Even though I currently work full time and part time, I still would like to help out when able.

Thanks for your military service and your interest in continuing to serve through helping our veterans. Our next board meeting is Tuesday, October 1, in the chapel of the Veterans Home in Collins at 6PM. If it is possible for you to come and meet the board it would be our pleasure to meet you and bring you in as a member. There is a lot you can do that does not require much time–we can discuss that once you become a member. If you cannot make it to the board meeting please let me know here at this email address or give me a call at 601 765 6905. We can vote you in as a member without you being there–but it would be better for both you and the board if we could meet.

      Thanks again for your interest,

      James C. Sanford

      Chairman of the Board

Please advise all your members that on SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2014–the BANCORPSOUTH ZIPPITY DOO DAH PARADE will kick off at 6pm, from Memorial Stadium and through the streets of the Fondren District in Jackson–and the theme of this year’s Parade is: WELCOME HOME, VIETNAM VETERANS! This group of Veterans have NEVER BEEN welcomed home officially in any statewide effort, anywhere in the US, that we are aware of. THIS WILL BE A HUGE EVENT and our hope, prayer and belief is that we will offer an opportunity for the healing of a wound that is decades overdue. In the next few weeks, more details will become available at http://www.zddparade.com and at http://www.sweetpotatoqueens.com Many Veterans’ organizations are participating. COME AND LET US FINALLY SAY THANK YOU AND WELCOME HOME! jillconnerbrowneTHEsweetpotatoqueen

That is great!! You can join Veterans OutReach and work with us or you can contact Tremaine Enoch, the Activity Director at the MS State Veterans Home by calling 601 765 0403. To join Veterans OutReach you need to meet with our board of directors on January 6, 2015 at 6PM in the chapel of the veteran’s home for a short interview. A very simply process with no joining fee. Thanks for your interest.
